Gardner Graphics was established in 1985 as a design studio, primarily producing advertising illustration, logo design and other print media. Over time it evolved more into the sign painting business, which included airbrushing and pinstriping techniques. This led to painting murals on motorcycles and motorhomes, and lettering race cars, trucks and trailers.

Today, Gardner Graphics still produces commercial lettering and pinstriping on vehicles but specializes in wall murals and decorative artwork in homes and commercial buildings, including backyard walls, children's bedrooms and offices.

The objective of the artwork is to enhance the customer's environment by giving that personalized touch to their property or vehicle, such that a distinctive image or atmosphere is created, whether it be a peaceful landscape or a playful children's cartoon, or a simple embellishment over a doorway or on the side of a vehicle.

Jim Gardner received his Bachelor's Degree in fine arts in 1973 from the University of Wisconsin at Madison. After working in several ad agencies and print shops he went into business for himself as a graphic artist.
